SHOREFIELD SENDIRIAN BERHAD was incorporated on 29th September 1993 as Electrical Contracting Company. The long-term objectives are to develop the power energy sector in Sarawak and beyond. Whist its mainstay is as the leading rural electrification company in Sarawak, Shorefield now has expanded into the oil and gas industry.

Our visions are to produce and improve our electrical engineering solutions. Our mission are to be strategically focused with management commitment to human and organizational development through innovative and professional management, process control and employee empowerment to provide long term yield for all stake holders.

Core Competences

1. The core activities are electrification of rural communities in Sarawak.

2. To acquire and develop new methods of providing individual and independent power and energy sources to the isolated rural communities in Sarawak.

3. Investment and managemant of oil and gas related companies.

Achivement

Shorefield has successfully implemented the Rural Electrification Scheme (RES) projects in Sarawak from 1994 until now. To-date Shorefield has undertaken and is implementing a total contract worth of RM750million.

In 2009, Shorefield through a wholly owned subsidiary, Shorefield Resources Sdn Bhd acquired a 30% interest in Petra Energy Berhad, an Integrated Brown Field Services provider for the upstream oil and gas industry that is listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia.

Its other subsidiary company, KAS Ship Management Sdn Bhd has successfully secured an anchor handling tug supply vessel term charter contract with Murphy Oil.

Another subsidiary company, Reservoir Link Engineering Sdn Bhd provided tubing-conveyed perforation services at Tinggi A3 platform (Petronas) and Troung Son Joint Operating Company(Vietnam).

Resources

With a pool of electrical engineers and trained personnel, Shorefield is poised to take advantage of the opportunities in the massive Power and Telecommunication infrastructure development undertaken by both the private and public sectors.

We have, over the years, built up a pool of Bumiputra contractors who are specialists in the areas that we operate. We have also established various relationships with domestic and international consultants, suppliers and contractors to support our quality and services while still being competitive.

Future

Shorefield envisions to enhance its footing in the Power and Energy sector beyong its mainstay business as a rural electrification contractor.

Apart from electrification via the power grid lines, Shorefield is pursing the development of alternative electricity sources like solar hybrid as isolated systems for remote rural areas. A new subsidiary company, Energy Line Resources Sdn Bhd has been formed to undertake this new venture.

In the oil and gas sector, Shorefield is planning to enhance Petra energy Berhad's offerings and consolidate with the other o&g related companies for it to be a truly integrated brown field engineering and services company geared up to explore new frontiers.

Shorefield is thus continuously on the lookout and ready to embrace new technologies, technology partners and business counterparts to achieve its vision to be a premier power and energy player in the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
